Terms and Conditions

  1. DropPicker Career Library (DropPicker) is a platform for eligible students and graduates of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) who need to seek information for preparing forthcoming job interviews at different companies or organisations. 
  2. Only students and graduates who have been invited to interview by recruiting companies/organisations will be granted access to past interview questions. 
  3. Students and graduates who received past interview questions are required to submit questions from their own interviews by deadlines established by CEDARS.
  4. Students and graduates are reminded that they should conduct due diligence and seek independent advice in regard to other matters not covered in DropPicker, related to their rights and interests, including but not limited to their eligibility to work in Hong Kong, the nature of employment, terms and conditions of service and contract, visa arrangement and any other details related to the positions and employment.
  5. All users of DropPicker should only use the platform and its contents for lawful purposes. They should not use the platform to transmit, distribute or store materials in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or in any manner that will infringe the copyright, trademark, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights of others or violate the privacy or publicity or other personal rights of others, or that is libellous, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful.
  6. The graphics, images, editorial content, HTML and all information posted on DropPicker are the intellectual property of CEDARS. They are protected by copyright and trademark laws and may not be downloaded or otherwise duplicated. Re-use of the foregoing is strictly prohibited and CEDARS reserves all rights.
  7. Violating or attempting to violate the security of the platform, accessing data without proper authorisation, or reproducing the information on any other platforms (online or offline) in any forms (as-is or amended) are strictly prohibited. Users profiting in monetary terms (including as hired contractor or employee on a full-time, part-time or freelance basis) in any means or manners including providing information on DropPicker to third parties or extracting information from DropPicker for commercial purposes would be subject to disciplinary actions. Violations of system or network security may result in civil and/or criminal liabilities.
  8. Students and graduates may provide their own experience and any other information to DropPicker. They should ensure all information and/or files uploaded to the platform are accurate, complete and virus free.
  9. Personal data contained in DropPicker are provided on a voluntary basis. CEDARS will not be held responsible or liable in case of any actual or potential breach of the terms and conditions and guidelines by any other users, and/or use of users’ personal data by any other users for any use other than recruitment purposes. Any infringements should be reported to CEDARS immediately.
  10. CEDARS has full jurisdiction over the admission of users and any other matters relating to DropPicker, and reserves the right to deny or terminate any services to any users in case of any actual or potential breach of the terms and conditions, determined at the sole and absolute discretion of CEDARS.

  1. To the fullest permitted by law, CEDARS makes no warranty, representation or undertaking (whether express or implied) about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, timeliness, suitability, merchantability, non-infringement of third party rights, fitness for any or a particular purpose or use of the platform and its contents. It does not warrant that the platform will operate error-free or free of viruses or other harmful mechanisms, and will not be liable in any event for any losses or damages suffered by any users whatsoever directly or indirectly arising or resulting from using or inability to use the platform and its contents. If use of the platform or the contents results in the needs for servicing or replacing equipment, server or data, by any user, CEDARS should not be held liable or responsible for those costs or damages of whatsoever nature.
  2. External links on the platform are displayed for the convenience of users. CEDARS is not responsible for the links or contents provided by the websites, nor is it accountable for any use of, access to or interaction with linked websites or any order for or use of their products and services.
